ABOUT ME

I came to the University of Missouri in 2014 knowing I wanted to tell stories professionally. I enjoyed analogue still photography and working for my high school newspaper, but I didn’t know much about the specifics behind ethical reporting and how to fulfill the role of the Fourth Estate. Through my education in “The Missouri Method,” I’ve gotten to work for an NBC affiliate, NPR affiliate, and have my work published for the world to see, adhering to real-world deadlines and ethical standards. After college, I have been fortunate enough to continue growing as a storyteller and multimedia journalist for ESPN, SiriusXM then most recently, at CBS Sports (within the Soccer group). Going forward, I want to be able to work in a space where I can best utilize my creative abilities, my passion for storytelling and my love of visual media in a way that resonates with the masses. Through my progression from sports broadcasting to my final emphasis area from the Jonathan B. Murray Center for Documentary Journalism, I have been able to better understand how to best mesh journalism and filmmaking in an artful, yet ethical way that does justice to longer form stories.

Me at my first Barça game in-person, from 4/3/2022 vs. Sevilla at the Camp Nou. Pedri scored an absolute golazo to lead the Blaugrana to a 1-nil win.
